Sail Plan

One of a fleet of over 300 vessels based in Brixham,  Pilgrim moved on to the Faeroes Isles and later Lowestoft;  she was sold to Sweden in 1912, where she was worked hard as a freighter and a training ship before she was returned  to Brixham in 1999. by the Pilgrim Preservation Project consortium.

                                                                                                                                                                                    Sweden 1970’s

With her shorted length, only a mizzen mast and obvious poor condition, she was soon the subject of local interest and work began in earnest to get her to a condition to sail.  The plan is to restore her as close as possible to her original specification; to enable her to be used in heritage and educational projects for local people and visitors

Brixham 1999

She is now very rare, there being one of only about four now in existence; built and rigged in Brixham.
